Teaching and Learning
Learning a second language has to be fun, interactive and memorable.
During your stay at La Casa you will be fully immersed into the language and culture of your choice. Languages offered here at La Casa are English as a second language, Spanish and French formal lessons by a native speaker. All three languages will be taught by native speakers and will include trips to a variety of cultural areas.
Formal language learning can take place at La Casa, however, most of the language learning will be out and about in order to meet a variety of different native English, Spanish and French residents and business owners all situated in the local areas.

What to expect during your stay
- Daily fun activities to suit your skill set, desires and needs – these will be discussed prior to your stay
- Informal and formal discussions to meet your needs and ability
- English/Spanish or French cuisine and relevant style café trips depending on the language immersion
- Relaxed learning with corrections and reviews as required
What isn’t included in the price
- Traditional classroom teaching and learning – no columns, no learning by rote!
- Testing or examination papers. The importance of this immersion is that you enjoy it and make long lasting memories. You are not going to sit a test!
- You will also be responsible for:
- Your own travel costs such as train, plane or car hire
- Any extra snacks or extra meals outside of meals provided
- Any extra soft drinks during sporting activities
- Any extra sporting activities such as go-karting/golf/scuba diving/jet-ski – these can be arranged with pleasure – let’s see if we have time first though
A typical day with English in the Sun
- Daily dog walks in the hills or along the beach
- Days are spent participating in many sporting activities such as sea canoeing, snorkelling, paddle boarding and tennis.
- Meal preparation inside or outside La Casa au Lilas Rosa
- Pool fun or relaxation in the hydromassage jacuzzi or chilling with the other guests around the pool
- Guided learning, team games, karaoke, English discussion, board games
- A visit to Moraira or Calpe with the dogs and to enjoy the sun set
- Chill time watching TV, reading, chatting, relaxing by the pool or back in the jacuzzi
- For our teen camp we will expect lights to be out by 23:00 in preparation for another day of fun filled activities
Availability for English in the Sun Camps
- We are happy to welcome a variety of learners at any time during the year. However, certain dates will be more popular than others.
- Winter English Immersion camps are from 4th February to 4th March 2023
- Spring English Immersion camps are from 9th April to 8th May 2023
- Summer language and family camps start Saturday, June 10th 2023
